Welcome to the MTU Department of Physical Sciences.

Established in 2013 through the merger of the Departments of Chemistry and Applied Physics & Instrumentation, the Department of Physical Sciences delivers industry-focused education and research across science and technology.

Our undergraduate programmes provide hands-on training in Analytical Chemistry, Instrumentation & Calibration, Automation & Process Control, and Environmental Monitoring, equipping graduates with the practical skills sought by employers across Ireland and beyond.
